Abandoning vehicles can expose you to a 3^rd degree felony under 10 GCA § 51111, by your knowingly placing hazardous waste on public or private property, with 5 years in jail, and with fines of at least $10,000 per day, plus restitution.  It also is littering with up to a year in jail, a $1000 fine and restitution under 10 GCA § 5115(a). 

Title 16 GCA § 3606 also carries a $1000 fine for abandoning a car on government or private properties.

Moreover, destroying a car’s VIN under 9 GCA § 46.85 makes the removal a 3^rd degree felony with up to 5 years in jail.   The law also has civil remedies available.

Think before dumping your car.  It doesn’t matter removing identifying information or burning it.  WE WILL FIND YOU.
